AOS 93 Central Office

People often asked what the Central Office staff does during the school break. We continue to do warrants every two weeks for each of our towns and new budgets need to be loaded into the accounting system. Employment details are finalized so that new salary figures are read to go.

State reports are due at the end of July and all budget numbers MUST match with the corresponding town's figures. Schedules for the upcoming new school year are finalized, it is time for us to purge files and lets not forget the auditors. They are here for at least a week, causing a "little" glitch to our days. Transportation issues are hopefully resolved during July and August, grants are written and reports for last year's grants are submitted. This is a very brief overview and I am sure there are many important tasks I have over looked, but it does give you an idea of the summer workload. By the third week in August, all personnel will receive a letter from the Superintendent recalling them to opening workshops and welcoming them to a new school year.
