Greetings, my name is Jim Hodgkin and I am the new Superintendent of Schools here in AOS 93. I began on July 1st. I am officially the interim for the 2017/2018 school year. I am excited to be here and to learn the workings of an AOS. I have been a Superintendent for the past 14 years and bring all of my practical knowledge gained in educational leadership with me to AOS 93. I came here after serving for 8 years in RSU #4 (Litchfield, Sabbatus, and Wales). Prior to that I was the Superintendent of MSAD #43 (Rumford, Mexico, Roxbury, and Byron). The majority of my experience before that was in teaching and building administrator roles in middle schools including Fayette, Monmouth, Gray/New Gloucester, Maranacook, Leeds/Turner and Embden. Each experience has offered me new and exciting challenges and learning opportunities. I suspect that will be the case here in AOS 93.

On a personal level, I have been married for 34 years and live in Leeds with my wife and two of our four children. All four of my children are adopted. My boys attend Leavitt Area High School. One will be and senior and the other will be a junior this upcoming year. My oldest daughter gave us a gift of a beautiful grandson last December. I grew up and graduated from Lisbon High School, attended undergraduate school at the University of Maine, where I earned my Bachelor's degree. I also have two advanced degrees from the University of Maine.

I look forward to meeting the people in our seven towns and invite you to stop in and say hi if you get a chance.
