AOS 93 School Choice Information Night Nov. 18, 5-7 p.m.

AOS 93 is hosting a secondary school information fair on November 18, 5:00 p.m., at Great Salt Bay Community School. All residents of AOS 93 have secondary school choice and can choose where they would like to attend school for grades 9-12. Residents who are making plans for secondary education are invited to attend. Each town pays the approved state tuition for the school their resident students attend. Representatives from area schools will be on hand to talk about their schools and answer questions. Over 18 Maine schools have been invited to attend. Schools that have RSVP’d for the event at this date are:

Camden Hills Regional High School

North Yarmouth Academy

Lincoln Academy

Erskine Academy

Carrabassett Valley Academy

Watershed School

Chewonki Semester School

Hebron Academy

Hyde School

JVS Committee Approved FY20 Budget

Attached is the School Committee approved FY20 Budget. The budget will be voted on at the May 14 Special Jefferson Town Meeting. 6:00 p.m. Jefferson Village School.

GSB CSD Board FY20 Budget

Attached is the Board approved FY20 Budget. The budget will now be voted on at the GSB CSD budget meeting May 8, 6:30 p.m. at Great Salt Bay School. 

AOS 93 Board Meeting location change

The meeting scheduled to be held at the Central Office has been changed to the Nobleboro Central School library, 5:00 p.m.

GSB School Board Survey

As part of a strategic review and planning process, the GSB School Board is soliciting input from parents and students to help determine strategic goals for the school. We appreciate you taking the time to fill out the anonymous survey here.

A student version of the survey is available here. for current GSB 5-8th grade students and GSB alumni. Both surveys will be on-line until Friday 4/5.  

Paper copies are also available at GSB or the town offices of Bremen, Damariscotta and Newcastle.

Winter Weather School Cancellation Decisions

Our winter weather so far this year has presented some challenging decisions in regards to school cancellations. Attached is an informational letter from the Superintendent explaining how many factors come together to make these decisions.
