BCS Kitchen Information

Dear BCS Parents, Guardians and Students

Due to the new BCS kitchen not being completed for the first part of school year 2024-25, Layne and Sam will be preparing meals for the BCS students at SBS. Elaine, the kitchen manager at SBS, is looking forward to sharing the SBS kitchen with Layne and Sam. In order to make this new set up work smoothly, menus for August and September are very basic to meet all requirements. Both breakfast and lunch will be "serve" instead of "offer", which means students will have to take all items that are required for both breakfast and lunch. Lunch will be all cold sandwiches, fruit and vegetables. Due to limited food storage at SBS and at BCS, the breakfast and lunch menu will repeat weekly though the month of September.

As Layne, Sam, and Elaine work on making a smooth daily routine, we are hoping to start adding hot meals in October. Layne and Sam would like to be able to offer some hot meals and are looking forward to adding Pizza to the menu.

I wish everyone a happy school year!

Michelle Miller
