We had an incredible week at Nobleboro Central School, which included some engaging and fun activities throughout the week! The Nobleboro Fire Department visited and demonstrated fire safety in the Fire Safety simulator for all grades K-8. Author Hillary Dow visited our students in the library, and some of our older students had the opportunity to learn a new art skill, as Hillary demonstrated how she illustrates her books. Our Student Council hosted our first assembly of the year, which was an incredible success! The NCS Student Council is also planning other opportunities throughout the year for our students. I hope everyone takes the time to enjoy the wonderful fall weather this weekend! Sincerely,
Tom Landberg, Principal

Students in K–2 have been developing their balance skills — learning how to maintain control of their body position whether they’re moving or staying still. Through a variety of fun and active stations, they’ve been exploring different ways to practice balance, coordination, and body awareness. Activities have included balance boards, trampolines, hopscotch, scooters, yoga poses, and balancing objects. It’s been exciting to see students challenge themselves, experiment with new movements, and build confidence in their physical abilities!

This week, our kindergarten and 8th grade buddies became scientists together! Side by side, the buddies collected leaves, noticed the shades of green, yellow, orange, and red, and even conducted a simple experiment to see the hidden colors inside each leaf.
