On behalf of our staff at NCS, we wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday and a much deserved vacation!  We are doing great things at NCS every day, and we are so proud of our students and their accomplishments so far this school year.  Thank you to all of our families for arranging schedules with our early release day today.  Have a wonderful break, and we look forward to seeing students on January 5th in the new year - 2026!

Fifth-graders in Mrs. Kaler's class have been writing "How To" essays in recent weeks.

how 2 again

They have created outlines and written on subjects including how to open a refrigerator door, do a push-up, and put on a turtleneck sweater. They tested their instructional writing by having a friend follow the steps to see if the language was clear, often with hilarious results. Go, Lions!
