As the week comes to an end, it is important to recognize the efforts of our students this week! Please know that if your child needs any support academically, socially, or emotionally we are here to help and support. Our goal is to develop such positive relationships with students and that is so important for each and every one of our students.
Also, please know that we have an abundance of food available in our Food Bank. Please let us know if you would like us to provide you with what items are there and how we can get them to families.

We are so proud of our 8th graders for all the hard work they’ve put into fundraising for their end-of-year class trip! A few weeks ago, students and parents spent the weekend collecting bottles around Nobleboro, and the results were amazing.

Pictured below, the class proudly holds their Bonus Redemption check for an impressive $1,400.75!

Even while “stuck” indoors this winter, Mrs. York has been having a lot of fun with our students in PE! Here’s a peek at some of the fun activities she and the kids have been enjoying.
Students in grades 6–8 are learning archery in PE through the NASP (National Archery in Schools Program). They focus on archery range safety, the 11 steps to shooting, and how to keep score on the targets. For students who want to learn more, Mrs. York will be offering an after-school Archery Club in March.
Next up, our 3rd–5th graders have been playing broomball as a lead-up to floor hockey. They’re learning safe stick handling, offensive and defensive skills, and how to show good sportsmanship—all while having fun!

And perhaps the most exciting of all. Our 3rd graders have been participating in the Monika Kelly Elementary Sports Program (formerly the STEP program) at the Midcoast Recreation Center. The program focuses on ice safety, balance, and basic skating skills, starting with marching and progressing to crossovers and forward and backward skating for more experienced kids. Students are split into two groups for lessons and always get free skate time to explore the hockey arena, have fun with their friends, and practice what they have been taught. One student even got a special Zamboni tour while she’s sidelined with a broken arm and can’t skate.

Come support our cheer team as they ROCK their first-ever Busline League competition! Our girls have been working incredibly hard and are ready to shine—you won’t want to miss it!
