Grades 2-6 welcomed Louisa Crane to speak in their classrooms earlier this month. Louisa came to talk about the importance of our soil. Students participated in an interactive lesson about what we find in our soil and why it’s important to conserve and protect our soil. Ms. Crane shared information with the students about the 2026 Annual Conservation Poster Contest sponsored by the Knox-Lincoln Soil Conservation District. This year’s theme is, Soil. Where it all Begins. Students were given the contest guidelines in class and we look forward to seeing their entries. -Mrs. Arzate

Last week our 8th graders visited the Bath Regional Career and Technical Center. Each student was able to choose from the 11 different programs they offer in order to visit and learn more about specific vocations they might be interested in pursuing during their junior and senior years of high school. Students were very engaged in all the hands on learning and thinking about their futures. -Mrs. Brinkler
