And that's a wrap! It was a fun-filled last day. Happy Summer everyone!

Parents are invited to join us for our BCS Talent Show, Monday afternoon at 1:00!

Our group of middle school gardeners would like to present our new community garden beds! The students led this project, starting with calculating potential costs and writing a budget proposal. They managed the steps in between, including starting seedlings, solving order delivery and location problems, communicating with staff, and preparing our garden plans. Last week, they spent time after school filling the garden beds with soil and planting their seedlings. Grant funding was generously awarded from a Community Health Improvement Fund (CHIF) to help support these efforts for our students. We hope to see some crops available to harvest as soon as mid-summer!

Last call for the Lost & Found!

Thank you, Jessica and Chunk from Within the Whale, for an unforgettable visit to Bristol School! Our elementary students learned so much about humpback whales — including the surprising role their poop plays in our ocean's health. If you see one of our students, ask them what fact stuck with them most. What would you ask a young whale expert? 🐳💙

Time Capsule Day! Today, Mrs. Arzate delivered time capsules to the eighth graders. The eighth graders took a trip down memory lane as they looked at artifacts from their elementary school years at BCS. -Ms. Winchenbach

Curious learners in action! Our third graders visited the Blaine House and the State House after studying how our government works — and a few lucky students even met Governor Janet Mills! - Mrs. Waltz

Join us for some dress up fun starting on Wednesday!

PreK–2 students had a wonderful afternoon participating in interactive math games using materials generously provided by the Department of Education. Students, staff, and parents enjoyed engaging in hands-on activities that strengthen math skills through play, teamwork, and collaboration. The event was organized by Mrs. Pendleton and Mrs. Lawrence.

Many thanks to the Bristol Masons for another great year of bringinging Bikes for Books to BCS. We also want to thank the many sponsors who help make this reading incentive program take off. We are grateful for your support.-Mrs. Holmes

Our 2nd graders had the opportunity to visit the Old Rock Schoolhouse right here in Bristol! During the trip, students experienced what it was like to be a student in a one-room schoolhouse and discussed how the schoolhouse was different from our classrooms today. They also participated in a math lesson using chalkboards, just like students did long ago. It was a memorable, and fun learning experience for everyone!

PreK and Kindergarten took our annual field trip to the Damariscotta Fish Ladder on Friday, May 22nd. It was a perfect day to learn all about alewives!
After visiting the fish ladder, we headed to the local YMCA playground for lunch and some time to play. We wrapped up our adventure with a stop at Round Top Ice Cream.
Many students called it “the best day ever!” -Ms. Sawyer & Mrs. Pendleton
