We are excited to welcome Nico Li and Yuxi Liu from the New York Chinese Cultural Center out of New York City. They will work with students the week of March 25th.
The evening community performance will take place on Friday, March 29 beginning at 6:00PM.
Nico Li has been dedicated to promoting Chinese culture through art for over a decade, and more recently, as the Artistic Director at the New York Chinese Cultural Center, where she continues to further develop her artistic vision and identify as an immigrant artist and cultural bearer. Recently, in science, fifth graders learned about the water cycle. In a hands-on experiment, students tried to make it rain by using combinations of cold water, warm water, a cold atmosphere, and a warm atmosphere. Through this experiment and other discussions, students learned about elements of the water cycle including evaporation, condensation, precipitation, transpiration, and more. Students used this new knowledge to answer a variety of water cycle questions in groups and were excited to see all that they had learned. -Ms. Kinney
