NCS ended the school year with another awesome Field Day on Wednesday. It included a bouncy obstacle course, Sno-cones, Slip & Slides, Character Fun Run and a super-sized sprinkler. The Scholastic Book Fair is in full swing all this week. Put on by NPTO volunteers, this is the popular Buy One, Get One Free sale. It will be open mornings before school and prior to Friday 's Gr. 5-8 Band and Chorus assembly at 1 p.m. Go, Lions!

At Nobleboro Central School, we are making plans for the upcoming kindergarten class. Maine children are eligible to be enrolled in a public school in the town where they reside, provided they have turned 5 years old on or before October 15 of that school year.
If you are a Nobleboro resident and your family has a child approaching kindergarten age, it's time to contact our school. Eight lucky NCS students won bikes and helmets as part of the annual Bikes for Books program! The prizes were generously donated by the Masonic Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star. Students read and entered a drawing held the Friday before break, April 24. Go, Lions!

Nobleboro PTO Family Paint Night!
May 8th @ 6 p.m.
Join us for a fun and creative Family Paint Night hosted by the NPTO and led by our wonderful art teacher, Ms. Richmond. This is a family event, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Thursday was "Anything But a Backpack Day!" at NCS as Spirit Week activities continued. Students and staff brought lobster pots, pet carriers, wheeled luggage, baby strollers, tool boxes and there even was an oversized mailbox! Join in the fun Friday as we have "Color Wars." It's SHOWTIME! Students from NCS Lion Productions will put on "Tangled" tonight (Thursday) at Waldo Theatre in Waldoboro. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the 6 p.m. show. Admission is free and open to the public. Join in a joyful, musical romp through Rapunzel's world, complete with thugs, a horse, a prince, a fuzzy unicorn, and much more. Thanks to Ms. Plummer, Ms. Richmond and others for all of their hard work and dedication putting on this student-led production of a fairytale classic. Go, Lions!

NCS Spirit Week continued on Wednesday with "Decades Day." Students and staff dressed from bygone eras, including the 1970s, '80s, '90s and 2000's. There's still time to join in the fun. Thursday is "Anything But a Backpack," so carry your things in anything EXCEPT a backpack. Go, Lions!

NCS Spirit Week continued today with students and staff dressing alike for "Twin or Student/Teacher Swap Day!" Teachers enjoyed seeing alternate versions of themselves around every corner, and students loved pretending to have a twin! Students and staff dressed as icons including The Matrix, The Lorax, Garth from Wayne's World, Harry Potter, Iron Man, Superman and Spiderman. Today is Twin or Student/Teacher Swap Day.
