Thanks to grant funding from Community Health Improvement Funds, our middle school students had new opportunities to participate in enrichment activities after school this Spring. Activities during the five weeks of programming included woodworking, STEM, cooking, gardening and outdoor sports; and 36 middle school students took part and enjoyed connecting with one another after school and trying out new things. We appreciate all of the BCS staff that supported these endeavors, as well as Dan Lemieux - our volunteer woodworking guru. -Mrs. Brinkler

This week wraps up our time with Ben Crawford, our Educator in Residence from Kieve’s Leadership School, who has been working with us here at BCS since December. Ben brought a playful spirit, boundless energy and a thoughtful connection to every interaction he had with our students and staff and we wish him all the best as he heads back to Kieve for the residential season. We are so appreciative of all his hard work, as well as the commitment Kieve Wavus Education provides to local communities and their support of future educators as they fully subsidize this position and program each year. -Mrs. Brinkler
