Students from the Center for Alternative Learning at NCS hosted a Science Fair on Tuesday. It featured projects about the bearded dragon, how waves travel, crystals and whether a bug can navigate a mirror maze. Great job, CAL students!

The CAL students and a few 8th graders spent last Friday onboard the Snowgoose 3 and exploring Hog Island. They checked out the charts, observed wildlife, hauled up lobster traps, banded and measured lobsters, took the helm, and explored the trails and tide pools of Hog Island. All in all, it was a pretty awesome day!

Grades 3 and 4 performed "Biomes: Animals and Plants in Their Habitats" on Friday. The first show was at 9 a.m., followed by a 12:30 p.m. performance. It featured geckos, starfish, macaws, snakes, insects and a forgetful (and comical) African Elephant. There also were polar bears, alligators, fungi and cacti in the musical directed by Mrs. Schuster and Mrs. Courand.

Lincoln Academy will host their first annual 8th Grade Ice Cream Social on Friday, May 12 at 6:30pm in the Main Campus Courtyard, (or Dining Commons in case of rain). Students and their families are encouraged to meet other 8th grade families, LA students and administrators and socialize in a relaxed environment. This will be a great chance to see LA after school, ask any lingering questions, meet members of our LA Parent's Association, and watch home games around campus. There will also be an Open Turf Night fundraiser for the Sophomore Class afterwards.
