Don't miss this great event!! Wednesday, August 9th from 4-6 at the YMCA!

NCS. celebrated the last day of school Thursday with a Field Day organized by health and physical education teacher Michelle York. For photos from this fun day, visit this photo album: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1G-Qj55eTekBEAFozJ3wTdm9XBuCI89pS

Incoming kindergartners who will attend NCS in the fall visited the library Thursday morning and boarded the big yellow school bus! They heard a story and completed an art project with Mrs. Harriman and Mr. Bullard, then learned about riding the bus. Welcome, little Lions!

It's that time of year! All library books are due back at the NCS Library now. Lost and overdue notices will be going home this week. Please ask your child if they have any library books to return. THANK YOU!

Summer Basketball Camp at Lincoln Academy

The 8th Grade went whitewater rafting on the Kennebec River on Monday with Three Rivers Whitewater. Photos from the day (sorted by their Guide's names: Will, River, and K2) are available to purchase on Three Rivers' website: https://threeriverswhitewater.com/get-your-photos/

They're off! The 6th grade headed out today for three days on Hurricane Island with the Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership. More pictures will be available after the trip, but here are a few from their first day traveling out to the island.

Lincoln Academy has updated their summer program offerings - check it out!!!

Here are a few photos from the Fourth grade's last trip to HVNC this past Friday. They hiked to Little Dyer Pond, ate lunch on the dock, and took the canoes out. A wonderful day to end the year together!

Students from the Center for Alternative Learning at NCS hosted a Science Fair on Tuesday. It featured projects about the bearded dragon, how waves travel, crystals and whether a bug can navigate a mirror maze. Great job, CAL students!

The CAL students and a few 8th graders spent last Friday onboard the Snowgoose 3 and exploring Hog Island. They checked out the charts, observed wildlife, hauled up lobster traps, banded and measured lobsters, took the helm, and explored the trails and tide pools of Hog Island. All in all, it was a pretty awesome day!

Grades 3 and 4 performed "Biomes: Animals and Plants in Their Habitats" on Friday. The first show was at 9 a.m., followed by a 12:30 p.m. performance. It featured geckos, starfish, macaws, snakes, insects and a forgetful (and comical) African Elephant. There also were polar bears, alligators, fungi and cacti in the musical directed by Mrs. Schuster and Mrs. Courand.
